'The Flying Scotsman' is a composition dedicated to the famous British steam locomotive.
Built in 1923 and designed by Sir Nigel Gresley, it was the first train to reach 100mph and is viewed as a nostalgic symbol of Britain's steam age and industrial heritage.
The piece is split into four main sections, detailing the experience of a
train ride:
1. The Journey Begins
2. The Heather on the Hills
3. Train Leaving the Station
4. Full Steam Ahead
